The European Mission Soil Week (EMSW) 2024 returns, building on its vital role in promoting research, innovation and engagement on soil protection and restoration.

Meet the new Mission Soil projects ready to address soil health challenges across Europe.

The call is a significant step towards the HuMUS project’s aim to support the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ (Mission Soil) in promoting participatory processes at the local and regional level that will result in Territorial Management Agreements.

The competition inspired over 50 people to show us their love for soil in their beautiful photos with soil as the protagonist. Read on to learn more about who the three winners and nine runners up are.

The projects gather 314 participants from 32 countries to deliver a wide variety of benefits for the restoration and protection of soil by 2030. Most of them have already started their research.
