Description
On behalf of the European Commission, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) is organising an EU Pavilion at Fine Food Australia in Melbourne from 05 to 08 September 2022.
The objective of the EU Pavilion is to raise awareness among Australian buyers of the key merits of EU agri-food and beverage products, including their exemplary safety, quality, authenticity and sustainability standards. It will endeavor to create positive awareness about the merits of EU agricultural products, to encourage imports, consumption and the use of EU agricultural food and beverage products in Australia.
The Food and Beverage Market Entry Handbook for Australia with Geographical Indications is available here.
EU agricultural food and beverage products will be promoted by means of product displays, product tasting, cooking shows, policy presentations or other relevant measures.
The EU Pavilion is an institutional stand, which avoids placing particular emphasis on specific brands or Member States. However, the EU Pavilion aims to include a wide variety of representative products in selected categories from all Member States in its displays, tastings and cooking shows.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic situation and local restrictions, this year’s edition of Fine Food Australia is unusual. It is therefore possible that not all international exhibitors and visitors will be present in person. Thus, the EU Pavilion represented by the EU Delegation to Australia, will give valuable exposure within the Fine Food Australia 2022 fair.
The pavilion will form part of the EU’s ongoing promotion initiatives in third countries under the slogans ‘More than Food’ and ‘Enjoy, it’s from Europe’.
