In addition to participating in the negotiations, the EU organises a lively programme of side events that address the most pressing concerns connected to the climate crisis. The events will feature over 450 international speakers, including government representatives from Ukraine and Indonesia, as well as academia experts from world leading institutions.
You can attend the events taking place in Dubai, join the side events based in Brussels, participate in the online sessions, or follow the live streams online. The discussions will encompass everything from the energy transition to sharing good practices in the green industry and inspiring conversations about climate activism.

Description
The European Research Executive Agency (REA) will contribute to one side events under the European pavilion:
Harnessing stakeholders’ knowledge to support policy development for climate-smart soil management
Part of the side events programme, REA will host a discussion panel live streamed worldwide on 01.12.2023, 13:30 - 14.30 CET.
The session will showcase the knowledge framework of the EJP SOIL project, funded under the Horizon 2020 programme. It will focus on the importance of climate-smart sustainable soil management in the EU. Specifically, it will touch upon EU soil policies, expert groups and bridging the gap between EU and national policies to support the successful development and implementation of soil policies.
