How to communicate your project
Making your project visible is crucial to reach out to relevant stakeholders, build new collaborations or find your way into the market. It is also a legal obligation under your grant agreement.
Most EU-funded projects are required to have a web presence (either a dedicated website or to be part of an existing website). It should provide details about the project objectives, actions, progress and results.
We also encourage you to share your project's news and stories via social media. The European Research Executive Agency (REA) has a Twitter account, and all REA-managed projects are welcome to engage with it. There is also a dedicated Twitter account for Horizon Europe Cluster 6 – Food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment.

If your project has achieved outstanding results relevant to EU citizens, then it could be promoted via some of the European Commission’s channels such as:
- Cordis Results in Brief,
- CORDIScovery podcasts,
- Research & innovation success stories,
- Horizon Magazine or
- during events such as the R&I Days.

How to acknowledge EU funding
All EU programmes 2021-2027
As of 2021, all EU programmes including Horizon Europe, the Research Fund for Coal and Steel, and the Promotion of agricultural products programme follow the same rules. These apply to all new grants that result from calls for proposals published from 2021 onwards.
Project communication activities (including media relations, conferences, seminars, information material, such as brochures, leaflets, posters, presentations, etc., in electronic form, via traditional or social media, etc.), dissemination activities and any infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, supplies or major result funded by the grant must acknowledge EU funding:
- Display the European flag (emblem)
- Add the funding statement (translated into local languages, where appropriate)

Please also consult the operational guidelines for recipients of EU funding.
Any communication activity related to the action and any infrastructure, equipment and major results must mention the EU funding:
- Display the EU emblem in high-resolution
- Include the text: This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No [number]

Make sure to use the EU emblem and not the European Commission logo.
