EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe”: 'Widening Participation and Spreading Excellence' programme contributing to the Mission

The  Widening Participation and Spreading Excellence programme is instrumental in building research and innovation capacity in Widening Countries. The Widening Programme (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe) is implemented by the European Research Executive Agency (REA). The Widening actions support structural changes at national level and foster synergies with other EU programmes. The entire EU benefits from upgrading research excellence in the Widening Countries' institutions, further advancing and strengthening the European Research Area.
