The European Commission co-funds campaigns to promote its farm products in the EU and worldwide, in line with the EU promotion policy. To evaluate the proposals applying for EU funding in 2024, REA needs the expertise and experience of independent professionals in the field.
Expertise needed
We are looking for experts from private and public organisations, especially from universities and relevant educational establishments that are:
- experienced in marketing and communications with a background in the agri-food sector;
- knowledgeable in quality schemes, organic products, and consumer behaviour;
- familiar with aspects of sustainability of production and consumption related to agri-food;
- experienced in market analysis and campaign evaluations as well as budgetary analysis;
- knowledgeable in EU and third country agri-food markets.
Nature of the assignment
Selected experts will evaluate proposals submitted under the 2024 Promotion of agricultural products call for proposals. As a proposal evaluator, you will be part of a peer-review panel that assesses funding proposals based on defined selection criteria. The panel’s assessment will be the basis of the European Commission's funding decision.
In most cases, you will carry out your work online. However, you may also be invited to attend an on-site evaluation in Brussels. In this instance, you may be eligible for accommodation and subsistence allowances, as well as the reimbursement of your travel costs.
For more information, please see our “Work as an expert” page and the model contract for experts.
