It allows research institutions from Widening countries to join already ongoing R&I actions under Horizon Europe Pillar 2 and EIC Pathfinder.

Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe tackles global challenges and European industrial competitiveness, and it is organised into six clusters:

2) Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies

3) Civil Security for Society

4) Digital, Industry & Space

5) Climate, Energy and Mobility

6) Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture & Environment.

The European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder is a funding programme under Horizon Europe that supports breakthrough deep tech projects with a high degree of scientific and technological ambition and risk.
