On Saturday 9 May, REA will take part in the EU Open Day event in the frame of the celebrations for Europe Day. Like previous years, the Berlaymont will open its doors to visitors wishing to explore the European Commission's work.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, REA's stand will be taken over by researchers from the ongoing MSCA project PlasmACT. They will explain to visitors how they look to treat pre-cancerous conditions using gas plasma therapy through a fun and engaging activity: creating plasma by heating up grapes in a microwave.
Visitors will also be able to talk to EU staff, take pictures at a photobooth and answer MSCA-related questions in a quiz, among many other EU-focused activities and games.
You can find REA in the “Europe’s Prosperity” village, in the cluster entitled “An open door to innovation”.
